1. Legal basis for processing personal data
The data in the register is processed on the basis of the registered customer relationship for managing customer relationships, direct marketing, customer communication and other contact. Personal data is processed to fulfil contracts and legal obligations, ensure the quality of services, manage customer relationships, enable personalized marketing and maintain contact with the customer. The register may contain the following information:
– customer name
– customer email address
– contact details
– statistical information about campaigns
– information provided by the customer to the service
– information related to the customer relationship and contractual relationship
– technical information about system use
2. Cookies
The e-Myynti website uses cookies to ensure that the website works in the best possible way. Cookies collect technical information and information about how the website is used. This information helps us develop the website to better meet customer needs. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if necessary. If cookies are disabled, some website functions may slow down or access to certain sections may be prevented entirely.
Articles on this website may include embedded content, such as videos, images, attachments and similar material. Opening embedded content from other websites is comparable to the visitor visiting the third-party website directly. These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking cookies and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if and when you are logged in as a user on that website.
3. Updating and correcting personal data
If you leave information, a comment or related metadata, it may be stored indefinitely. This is done so that we can recognize and approve subsequent information and comments automatically instead of keeping them in a moderation queue. We store the profile information of registered users in the database of the e-Myynti service provider. All users have the opportunity to view, edit and delete their personal data at any time. Only the username cannot be changed. The administrators of the e-Myynti tool can view and edit user profile information.
As a customer, you have the right to check what information about you has been stored in the e-Myynti system’s customer and direct marketing register. The right of access may be refused on grounds provided by law. Exercising the right of access is generally free of charge. You have the right at any time to object to the processing of your data if you believe that e-Myynti has processed the data unlawfully or that the e-Myynti system does not have the right to process the registered data. The right to object does not apply to processing that MainosLähde Oy is legally required to carry out.
You have the right to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed, and the right to request the deletion of your data from our customer and direct marketing register. You may also delete your profile from the e-Myynti.fi system yourself and update the information stored there. However, the right to deletion does not apply to data processing and retention that is necessary for MainosLähde Oy to comply with a legal obligation or another lawful basis provided by law.
To the extent that you have provided information to our customer and direct marketing register yourself, and the data is processed based on your consent or assignment, you generally have the right to receive such data in a machine-readable format and the right to transfer this data to another controller.
You have the right at any time to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes. You may also delete your profile from the e-Myynti system, update your information and prohibit marketing communications directed at you. If your data is processed based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent by notifying us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Requests concerning your rights must be sent in writing or by email to tuki@mainoslahde.fi. MainosLähde Oy may ask the data subject to clarify the request and verify their identity before processing the request. MainosLähde Oy may refuse to fulfil the request on grounds provided by applicable law. MainosLähde Oy responds to requests within one (1) month of receiving the request, unless there are specific reasons to extend the response time. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if MainosLähde Oy has not complied with data protection legislation.
4. Retention of personal data
Your personal data is kept in the register only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes defined in this Privacy Policy and as required by law. In accordance with legal obligations, MainosLähde Oy may be required to retain data for longer than the period mentioned above.
Personal data is entered into the register in the form in which it was provided by the data subject. Updates may be made either by the data subject personally or by MainosLähde Oy based on a request made by the data subject.
5. What rights you have regarding your data
If you have a user account on this website or have left comments, you may request an exported file of your personal data, including all personal data you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. The right to delete your own data does not apply to personal data that we must retain for administrative, legal or security-related reasons.
6. Changes to the Privacy Policy
MainosLähde Oy continuously develops its operations and therefore reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy by announcing changes on its website. Changes may also be based on changes in legislation. We therefore recommend that you regularly review the content of the Privacy Policy and the terms of use of the e-Myynti tool.
7. Direct marketing and newsletters
MainosLähde Oy may process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest for direct marketing purposes. This applies especially to business customers whose contact details have been collected from public sources, such as Fonecta, and whose role is materially related to the services offered, such as e-commerce and marketing solutions. Personal data may be used for electronic newsletter communication carried out through an email service. Each newsletter includes a clear opportunity to unsubscribe from the mailing list and opt out of marketing communications. The data subject may prohibit direct marketing at any time by contacting the Controller or by using the unsubscribe link included in the message.
